The Order of the Cruciform Blade’s real purpose was Adriel’s puppets fighting the troops of Heaven.
Ava was touched by him and discovered his true identity. After killing a Tarask dragon that followed him from a demonic portal and capturing him, the initial knights of the order mistook him as an angel.
Adriel had kept the halo hidden in the first Warrior Nun’s graves at the Vatican. He had also formed the Order to secure Heaven’s protection.
Adrian wants to recover the Order’s halo, and carry out his evil schemes after escaping from his tomb.
Ava’s abilities as a Warrior-Nun is improving, even though she is still outmatched in terms power. Ava, given enough time, is likely to be more than equal to Adriel’s demonic powers and will match Ava.
One thing is certain, the Order of the Cruciform Blade’s existence was founded on a fabrication. Ava and the other sisters are now able to give it a new meaning.
Father Vincent betrayed Sister Shannon, which caused her death. The girls might be trying to exact vengeance upon their mentor, which is a cardinal offense.

Warrior Nun Season 2 will be available on Netflix in 2022.
Season 1 was filmed between March 11th to July 5th, 2019. The show took almost a full year to air on Netflix.
