Recent updates indicate that Xiaomi Corp intends to produce electric vehicles (EVs), using Great Wall Motor Co Ltd’s factory. These reports are reliable. If true, Xiaomi will become the latest tech company to join the smart mobility race.
Everybody knows that Xiaomi is the largest smartphone manufacturer in the world. It has imprinted its name onto many devices, with smartphones being the most prominent. The company stated that it is in discussions with Great Wall Motor Co Ltd in order to use one its plants in China for EV production under its own brand.
After the project is complete, the company will release its EVs to the public. Great Wall Motor Co Ltd will provide engineering consulting to Xiaomi in order to accelerate the development of the project.
While both companies have decided to remain silent for the time being, they haven’t denied that there are rumors. It stated that they would announce their partnership as soon next week as possible.
