Amazon has been a major player in the retail sector over the past few decades. Recently, the company announced that it will create 1800 additional jobs in France. In 2018, Jeff Bezos, Amazon’s founder, was also the wealthiest man in the world. Last year, the company was also a 1 trillion-dollar business after Apple and Microsoft.
The New List of the Top Ten Most Valuable Tech Companies in the World
Bloomberg data showed that Microsoft’s total value still ranks at number 1, followed by Apple and Amazon. Two Chinese companies are among the top 10 technology companies worldwide.

Googleis currently the king of search engines and other internet services. The company is valued at $843 billion.
Facebook Another tech giant, most of Facebook’s revenues come from advertising. The company is worth $530 billion.
- Alibaba
Alibaba, a Chinese-owned retail platform, has grown globally in a very short time. The company offers cheaper products and higher quality products. Alibaba also has other business units that can generate additional revenue. Alibaba’s value is $456 billion.
- Tencent
Tencent, a Chinese investment conglomerate, has subsidiaries that specialize in technology, web services products and entertainment. The company is currently valued at $394 million.
- Taiwan Semiconductor
Taiwan Sem is a Taiwanese technology firm that specializes manufacturing semiconductors for various electronic products. It also has subsidiaries which specialize in other technologies. The company is valued at $221 billion
- Samsung
Samsung was one of the oldest companies in the list, but it didn’t make it to the top. However, it is still a well-known company worldwide. Samsung is primarily an electronics company and its products are widely recognized. The company’s value is $217 billion.
- Intel
Intel has a long history of making processors for desktop computers and mobiles. The company currently stands at $210 billion.
