This is one of our all-time favorite wok recipes. We love it not only for its beautiful presentation but also for its incredible flavor. It’s a great way to use those little red and white shrimps left over from a previous meal. Serves 4 Prep time: 15 minutes Cook time: 20-30 minutes Total time: 45-50 minutes Ingredients: 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, one small onion, chopped two cloves’ garlic, minced 1/2 teaspoon dried ginger, ½ cup frozen mixed vegetables, two tablespoons brown sugar ½ teaspoon soy sauce 1/4 teaspoon salt pinch of black pepper Directions: 1. In a wok or large pan, heat the oil. Add the onion, garlic, ginger, mixed vegetables, sugar, soy sauce, salt, and black pepper. Stir-fry for 5 minutes or until the vegetables are soft. 2. Remove from the heat and transfer to a bowl. Seal the lid and let it sit for 30 minutes before serving.
Stir-Fried Noodles with Shrimp and Veggies
This is one of our all-time favorite woks recipes too. It’s so simple to make, yet so delicious. It’s perfect for using up those leftovers from dinner the night before. Serves 4 Prep time: 10 minutes Cook time: 10-15 minutes Total time: 30-40 minutes Ingredients: 1 tablespoon vegetable oil 1 cup shiitake mushrooms, minced two cloves’ garlic, minced two tablespoons ginger, minced one tablespoon Shaoxing wine 3 cups Vegetables of the Week 3 tablespoons Shaoxing rice wine one tablespoon soy sauce 1/4 teaspoon five-spice powder 1/4 teaspoon sesame oil pinch of white pepper Directions: 1. In a wok or large pan, heat the oil. Add the mushrooms, garlic, ginger, and Shaoxing wine. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes or until the mushrooms are soft. 2. Add the vegetables and cook for 2-3 minutes more. Transfer to a dish and sprinkle with the soy sauce, rice wine, sesame oil, white pepper, and salt to taste.

This is one of our all-time favorite wok recipes too. It’s so simple to make, yet so delicious. It’s perfect for using up leftover vegetables. Serves 4 Prep time: 10 minutes Cook time: 10-15 minutes Total time: 30-40 minutes Ingredients: 3 cloves garlic, minced three tablespoons soy sauce, three tablespoons Shaoxing wine, one tablespoon cornstarch, two teaspoons sugar, 1/4 cup water, 3/4 cup vegetable oil 1/4 teaspoon five-spice powder Directions: 1. Mix garlic, soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, cornstarch, sugar, water, and oil in a bowl. 2. Place the ingredients in a wok or large saucepan. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are soft. 3. Remove from the heat and transfer to a bowl. Seal the lid and let it sit for 30 minutes before serving.
